IJOK .....Santa is in town

First of all, I would like to wish my condolences to ex-ADUN IJOK K.Sivalinggam's family.
The fact that a soul (innocent or not, not an issue) has been lost is saddening.
BUT I WAS MORE THAN FLABBERGASTED to hear Samy Velu's comment that says 'we have lost a leader'!!! WHAT F**K!!!!

Tell me about someone in Machap, I wouldn't know...but IJOK!

With the announcement of BY-ELECTION, suddenly the state government has RM36Million budget to be spent in and around IJOK! WOW!!!!

I have not registered myself as a voter, hence I won't be able to vote this coming 28th April. Furthermore, being settled in Singapore doesn't help me to travel all the way there and vote for PKR? May be.

But I would like to see my town to be developed.

Not sure where the RM36Million will be spent, whether it will be spent entirely or not is for another discussion...but my dear fellow people...please, please make sure you benefit the most out of this BY-ELECTION.

Get the government to fix all these issues ASAP! Offer expires on 29th April, regardless of the outcome of the election.

1) To resume the public transportation service from Batang Berjuntai town to at least 4 major estates from Rantau Panjang onwards. The kids and the public from these areas are now merely depending on school & factory buses.

2) Beef-up (I'm not talking about serving the meat) the police force in Batang Berjuntai to BRING DOWN the crime rate in this town! IT IS AT ALL TIME HIGH! I believe. This statement is of my own opinion and not based on any stats. As though there are stats given out, anyway.

3) Spend the money to build and include SCIENCE STREAM classes in SM. Rantau Panjang. Why it has been neglected all this while? Because, that school is populated by indian students from estates? I was one of such student affected by this.

4) Dumping site around Kg. Hang Tuah? Has it been removed? I don't think so! GET IT DONE NOW!

5) Clean up all the drainage system around all residential areas in the town! It's bloody piled up with garbage! And that causes mosquito breeding happily, not sure if they have a voting rights as well? May be? Who knows.

6) Plug all the pot-holes in town (I heard this is in progress right now).

7) Arrange meet-the-people session every 6 months once (at least) for the ADUN to take a walk in his constituency to find out what is happening! A proof that they don't know and don't care is that I saw a banner put up by late K.Sivalinggam 'ADUN Kaw. Ijok Mengucapkan Selamat tahun Baru Cina 2002'. Mind you, that banner was up in year 2005! Can you at least change the year.

8) Promote more social integration in the society, get the jobless, vandalising youths (mostly Indians, but Chinese and Malays are never far behind) to do SOMETHING other than I have mentioned here. NOW, YOU THINK OF WHAT TO DO!

9) Get the Ministry of Health to check (regularly) on all restaurants in the town. Try taking a peek at their kitchen!

10) Finally, please expand the town-ship beyond the hill. It is getting congested! After so many year, it has JUST expanded slightly beyond the mole.

Please do this for us at least!

A PLEA from an IJOK-ian.

Gusti, could you elaborate on your comment that you were affected by there being no science stream in your school? Perhaps an account of living there when you were growing up so we get a clearer picture of your accusations? Do hope you'll register to vote, though, so you can cast it in the next GE.

With such a corrupted and incompetent government in power now, who want to celebrate the 50th national day? We should mourn the beginning of the death of Malaysia instead.

To Pak Lah and all others, please wake up! Enough is enough! If you cannot perform, please go and let other able men to take over, it is so simple. But where to find able men from this bunch of BN joker ministers?

Umno will never learn nor accept the truth, their only concern is: Power is money - money is power. They will never walk the talk and will never admit the wrong they had created.

When the country has been hijacked by a political party for its top members, waving the country flag is like waving the party flag. I will not do it.

For some reason, I don't feel like flying the flag too. It is like I am not even proud to identify myself a Malaysian - knowing how bleak the future of our nation with our current leaders and those "heir apparent".

The socio-political mood in the country has not changed much from a decade ago. What a shame! (They are cheats, lowlifes, plunderers……….yes!)

We cannot trust politicians to take proper care of the country and its ordinary people. Let us draw a line here and learn from our past mistakes and move Malaysia forward together.

Independence? What independence! We were freed from the British 50 years ago. But we were ruled by apartheid-typed leaders from our own Malaysia, which I think is worse.

These are all bull shit. We do not need to accept all this Umno shit. Let them fight among themselves. One day, there will be a new story and another a newer one through the wits of reckless creatures aiming for the adulterous seat. The country has no place for these hooligans who do not have Malaysia in their hearts.

I just hope that it is not too late before general election comes. Voting to a certain extent is still a passive role. We need to rekindle the same love for Malaysia as our forefathers.

The racial and religious tensions in Malaysia have to get worse first before getting better. Some things have to hit the wall hard first before most people come to their senses.

If the "leaders" of the day have the political will, then the situation may be remedied to a certain extent. Unfortunately none of them do, as they have selfish and vested interests. We are heading for this wall faster than ever.

Those who swallowed the wealth of nation are the ones who do not love the country. The rest are loving the country. Flying the flag is no longer needed.

I should complain about our country that spent so much money in celebrating every year. There are too many national celebrations in Malaysia. This is no more than wasting money.

Our country is so divided now than ever in our history. There is no more unity and the malays are getting more and more arrogant. Their leaders don't give a damn what they say to their followers as long as it wins them some popular votes.

Our leaders lack calibre and direction. Our nation is heading for a difficult period and it will take a lot of effort to unify our various races.

Malaysia being in such a sad state, I can only see decline for decades to come.

May be even for centuries.

May be the rise of China can give the bright sparks of Malaysia some leverage to change society, but I doubt whether the ingrained culture of failure can be reversed.

Not the UK, not the US, not in most parts of the world, the culture of failure always reproduced itself generation after generation.

Change has to come from external influence and not from the inside.

List of racial discriminations in Malaysia, practiced by government as well as government agencies. This list is an open secret. Best verified by government itself because it got the statistics.

This list is not in the order of importance, that means the first one on the list is not the most important and the last one on the list does not mean least important.

This list is a common knowledge to a lot of Malaysians, especially those non-malays (Chinese, Ibans, Kadazans, Orang Asli, Tamils, etc) who were being racially discriminated.

Figures in this list are estimates only and please take it as a guide only. Government of Malaysia has the most correct figures. Is government of Malaysia too ashamed to publish their racist acts by publishing racial statistics?

This list cover a period of about 49 years since independence (1957).

List of racial discriminations (Malaysia):

(1) Out of all the 5 major banks, only one bank is multi-racial, the rest are controlled by malays

(2) 99% of Petronas directors are malays

(3) 3% of Petronas employees are Chinese

(4) 99% of 2000 Petronas gasoline stations are owned by malays

(5) 100% all contractors working under Petronas projects must be bumis status

(6) 0% of non-malay staffs is legally required in malay companies. But there must be 30% malay staffs in Chinese companies

(7) 5% of all new intake for government army, nurses, polices, is non-malays

(8) 2% is the present Chinese staff in Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF), drop from 40% in 1960

(9) 2% is the percentage of non-malay government servants in Putrajaya. But malays make up 98%

(10) 7% is the percentage of Chinese government servants in the whole government (in 2004), drop from 30% in 1960

(11) 95% of government contracts are given to malays

(12) 100% all business licensees are controlled by malay government e.g. Approved Permits, Taxi Permits, etc

(13) 80% of the Chinese rice millers in Kedah had to be sold to malay controlled Bernas in 1980s. Otherwise, life is make difficult for Chinese rice millers

(14) 100 big companies set up, managed and owned by Chinese Malaysians were taken over by government, and later managed by malays since 1970s e.g. MISC, UMBC, UTC, etc

(15) At least 10 Chinese owned bus companies (throughout Malaysia, throughout 40 years) had to be sold to MARA or other malay transport companies due to rejection by malay authority to Chinese application for bus routes and rejection for their application for new buses

(16) 2 Chinese taxi drivers were barred from driving in Johor Larkin bus station. There are about 30 taxi drivers and 3 are Chinese in October 2004. Spoiling taxi club properties was the reason given

(17) 0 non-malays are allowed to get shop lots in the new Muar bus station (November 2004)

(18) 8000 billion ringgit is the total amount the government channeled to malay pockets through ASB, ASN, MARA, privatisation of government agencies, Tabung Haji etc, through NEP over 34 years period

(19) 48 Chinese primary schools closed down since 1968 - 2000

(20) 144 Indian primary schools closed down since 1968 - 2000

(21) 2637 malay primary schools built since 1968 - 2000

(22) 2.5% is government budget for Chinese primary schools. Indian schools got only 1%, malay schools got 96.5%

(23) While a Chinese parent with RM1000 salary (monthly) cannot get school-text-book-loan, a malay parent with RM2000 salary is eligible

(24) 10 all public universities vice chancellors are malays

(25) 5% - the government universities lecturers of non-malay origins had been reduced from about 70% in 1965 to only 5% in 2004

(26) Only 5% is given to non-malays for government scholarships over 40 years

(27) 0 Chinese or Indians were sent to Japan and Korea under "Look East Policy"

(28) 128 STPM Chinese top students could not get into the course that they aspired e.g. Medicine (in 2004)

(29) 10% place for non-bumi students for MARA science schools beginning from year 2003, but only 7% are filled. Before that it was 100% malays

(30) 50 cases whereby Chinese and Indian Malaysians, are beaten up in the National Service program in 2003

(31) 25% is Malaysian Chinese population in 2004, drop from 45% in 1957

(32) 7% is the present Malaysian Indians population (2004), a drop from 12% in 1957

(33) 2 million Chinese Malaysians had emigrated to overseas since 40 years ago

(34) 0.5 million Indian Malaysians had emigrated to overseas

(35) 3 million Indonesians had migrated into Malaysia and became Malaysian citizens with bumis status

(36) 600000 are the Chinese and Indian Malaysians with red IC and were rejected repeatedly when applying for citizenship for 40 years. Perhaps 60% of them had already passed away due to old age. This shows racism of how easily Indonesians got their citizenship compare with the Chinese and Indians

(37) 5% - 15% discount for a malay to buy a house, regardless whether the malay is poor or rich

(38) 2% is what Chinese new villages get compare with 98% of what malay villages got for rural development budget

(39) 50 road names (at least) had been changed from Chinese names to other names

(40) 1 Dewan Gan Boon Leong (in Malacca) was altered to other name (e.g. Dewan Serbaguna or sort) when it was being officially used for a few days. Government try to shun Chinese names. This racism happened in around year 2000 or sort

(41) 0 churches/temples were built for each housing estate. But every housing estate got at least one mosque/surau built

(42) 3000 mosques/surau were built in all housing estates throughout Malaysia since 1970. No churches, no temples are required to be built in housing estates

(43) 1 Catholic church in Shah Alam took 20 years to apply to be constructed. But told by malay authority that it must look like a factory and not look like a church. Still not yet approved in 2004

(44) 1 publishing of Bible in Iban language banned (in 2002)

(45) 0 of the government TV stations (RTM1, RTM2, TV3) are directors of non-malay origins

(46) 30 government produced TV dramas and films always showed that the bad guys had Chinese face, and the good guys had malay face. You can check it out since 1970s. Recent years, this tendency becomes less

(47) 10 times, at least, malays (especially Umno) had threatened to massacre the Chinese Malaysians using May 13 since 1969

(48) 20 constituencies won by DAP would not get funds from the government to develop. Or these Chinese majority constituencies would be the last to be developed

(49) 100 constituencies (parliaments and states) had been racistly re-delineated so Chinese voters were diluted that Chinese candidates, particularly DAP candidates lost in election since 1970s

(50) Only 3 out of 12 human rights items are ratified by Malaysia government since 1960

(51) 0 - elimination of all forms of racial discrimination (UN Human Rights) is not ratified by Malaysia government since 1960s

(52) 20 reported cases whereby malay ambulance attendances treated Chinese patients inhumanely, and malay government hospital staffs purposely delay attending to Chinese patients in 2003. Unreported cases may be 200

(53) 50 cases each year whereby Chinese, especially Chinese youths being beaten up by malay youths in public places. We may check at police reports provided the police took the report, otherwise there will be no record

(54) 20 cases every year whereby Chinese drivers who accidentally knocked down malays were seriously assaulted or killed by malays

(55) 12% is what ASB/ASN got per annum while banks fixed deposit is only about 3.5% per annum

There are hundreds more racial discriminations in Malaysia to add to this list of "colossal" racism. It is hope that the victims of racism will write in to expose racism.

Malaysia government should publish statistics showing how much malays had benefited from the "special rights" of malays and at the same time tell the statistics of how much other minority races are being discriminated.

Hence, the responsibility lies in the Malaysia government itself to publish unadulterated statistics of racial discrimination.

If the Malaysia government hides the statistics above, then there must be some evil doings, immoral doings, shameful doings and sinful doings, like the Nazi, going on onto the non-malays of Malaysia.

Civilized nation, unlike evil Nazi, must publish statistics to show its treatment on its minority races. This is what Malaysia must publish……….

We are asking for the publication of the statistics showing how "implementation of special rights of malays" had inflicted colossal racial discrimination onto non-malays.

Got NEP, you complain! Abolish NEP, you make noise!

And you keep on blaming other communities for everything!

It is undeniable that malays are stupid, incapable and lazy. Why don't they just humbly admit the facts and repent and learn from other races especially Chinese?

What is the point to argue here and wasting time again?

From the first onwards we were merely telling the truths. It wasn't us who think that way but their own Pak Lah as well.

All malays should go and read the newspaper, even Pak Lah is ashamed of maintaining the NEP after 34 years of implementing it and these malay baboons are still asking for it.

Even Pak Lah wanted them to compete on a level playing field.

So what does all these tell the world? It sends a very clear message that it is malays themselves who are incapable and lazy and they don't even want to admit it and make a change!

That is the biggest shame of all.

Can't you see, it is all back to square one. Year in, year out, some talk for half an hour, some one, some two. Some sing, many belt out their most recent released 'pantun'.

After all. Malays are good at that. Suggestions after suggestions, some good, some impossible to realize.

But, do you see any of these materialised? Hardly. Why, why and why???

Because the malays can never change. Never! Why?

The leaders forgot or were it they simply didn't want to admit and address that the actual disease is the malays and the remedy itself is also, the malays. They can never change. What is it about the malays?

Firstly as you all know, they are a lazy species. Since the beginning of time they have been like that. Even the encyclopedia called them as lazy people. I think those British with their accent tried to call them 'malas', and if you put 'y' in, it becomes 'malays'.

Embracing Islam make them a worse lot. Now they have a license to kill anything that gets into their way.

Malays are ungrateful lot. In reality, they just can't live or open their minds for others. When Mahathir said that they are complacent, they put him in jail. When Mahathir encouraged them to learn English language, they got angry with him, saying it is a 'bahasa penjajah'.

When other races 'maju', they got angry with them too. That was why at the end of Mahathir his regime, he said this, "I have achieved greatness as a prime minister, but I only fail in one thing, changing the malays."

Well, nothing to be surprised about anyway since Mahathir is not really a malay, and I guess that was why the malays were angry with him.

Drug abuse, hate, incest, liberal extremism (culture of miniskirts and gay marriages), murder, racism, rape, religious fanaticism, parochialism, snatch theft, spoilt-bratty behavior, tribalism, wife abuse, child abuse, all that is associated with the malay race.

To them, malay is the biggest impediment towards building a truly Malaysian nation, and should be chucked into the dustbins of history.

A genetically flawed race cannot be fixed by politically. Nature will take its course and globalization will put them out to pasture.

What have we got now?

Brain drain, economic disparity getting wider, poor education system, racial segregation, widespread corruption, inefficiency and uncompetitive on the government departments and others.

Sad. Sad. Sad. The question asked by many of my fellow Chinese is this - Why can't you just tell the malay peoples to adopt Chinese culture which is superior?

From research, this peninsular was part of the Siamese empire way before these malays from Indonesia invaded it.

Still so thick skin, don't want to go back to Indonesia!

Honestly, I have lost all hope in this country! It is beyond redemption as it has already sunk into 'the abyss'.

It is a place to exist but not to live.

That is why I never celebrate national day and I never speak well of the country and this government.

The civil service is a refuge for the lazy. There is no commitment nor dedication.

No surprising with such emotion running high: More to emigrate. This is brain drain. Bolehland has no vision for its all people except for the Umno malays.

Who not afraid of the keris waving politician? Even my malay classmate emigrated to New Zealand recently, sick of the polemics and the politicising of religion here, good thing got money shall travel, no money no talk.

Should have left 10 years ago when I saw that we have no equal opportunities. But I hesitated and said there will be a change when Badawi takes over. Well! Guess that was not the case. It got worse and the future of Malaysia is bleak!

Pack my back and left the place to look for better opportunities and fight on merits. I am better off in Australia than the "dark hole" of Malaysia. At least you get respected for your recognition and skill. In Malaysia, how good you are is always a second class citizen. No promotion for us but their own kind.

NEP to malays is like drug to drug addicts. Once they started to taste it, they will never let go till they die. Tough they all know very well NEP is just like drug, not good for them in the long run, but they can't resist the short term temptation and fall deeper and deeper into the abyss of NEP.

Since now, the NEP had become Never Ending Policy, the little hope of getting out of the NEP drug will dismiss and leading to the destruction of the malays. By then maybe all the able non-malays had already emigrated to greener pasture in overseas. I forecast 2020 year is the doom day. Thanks to selfish Umno malays.

We are at our own liberty not to live in this controversial country. The government does not discourage us to leave this country. For Chinese and Indians, Malaysia perhaps is not a good place to stay because your mother countries to with China and India are now thriving. Just leave malays to manage their own country. Let Malaysia ruin with the malays.

The Chinese culture is compatible to other cultures in the world. The Chinese will have no problem adapt to other cultures in the world. There are many China Towns in overseas countries. So the Malaysian Chinese will feel at home wherever they go.

Real sick and tired of all these Umno babiputras, the sob in Malaysia Umno babiputras!

Yes, the only realistic proposition is encourage all Chinese to emigrate to Singapore and leave Malaysia for the malays. Trouble is Singapore is so small, its land mass will not allow a huge population to live in the island.

So next choice for the Chinese to emigrate is to Australia and New Zealand. The exodus has begun. Those who can afford now have started to go. The signs are already there.

There is no future in this country anymore. In a few years time this country will be in ruins when the oil money runs dry. FDI has already dry up and gone to other countries like Thailand and Vietnam. Foreign factories have closed shop migrated to China and India.

Chinese planning to emigrate should also consider option to return to China. Some of my friends went to invest there and within a few years become millionaires. There are much more opportunities and being Chinese there shouldn't be any problem.

By my own experience I can tell you that it is great being a new citizen in Singapore. You are judged by what you can contribute and not but some NEP policies.

The education in Singapore is also about the best in the world. Yes, even the educators from the native English-speaking countries adopt how mathematics and science are taught here.

Best of all, every time you cross the causeway to visit Malaysia you are rewarded by at least 2 or 3 times in your spending capability.

Oops……….now that this is happening, in the next 5 - 10 years, Malaysia will end up looking like the Philippines, where their main export is maids. Lack of income from tax, will see economy melt down. Skilled professionals all fled from the country.

Yes and having lived overseas, I have a nice bird's eye view of how Malaysia is heading towards the sewers.

Malaysia has spent the last 3 decades focusing on physical infrastructure without developing the human capital. Never mind the restrictions and stifling of independent minds - let us not even go there yet.

Let us start with basic education and providing of higher education opportunities for the best and brightest. We have cultivated at least 2 generations of dumbass.

Too many unqualified malays have been force fed into colleges and universities and the end result is you have the same bunch of witless village idiots, except now they are holding a piece of paper they don't know what to do with. A minority is absorbed back into the tertiary education system……….no prizes for guessing what that has caused over the last 30 years.

For the majority remaining, real world corporations wouldn't even hire them if they offered to work for free. So you have a bunch of jobless numbskulls who think they are too good for the common labor jobs, which they would have ended up in anyways given their aptitude and qualification, and desire a pen-pushing corporate position (if they could push that pen to string one coherent sentence in English, that would be another thing).

So we bring in all sorts of foreign labors to do our work for us, and we have a youth bulge of unemployable (and grossly unqualified) graduates walking around with a sense of entitlement.

Sounds familiar? It should. This is what is happening in the Middle East.

This trend towards greater Islamic extremism is also no coincidence. It is merely the natural path of development that a failed society embarks upon.

The malays have failed. Plain and simple. Their policies stink, they have screwed themselves more than they have others, in fact. The only reason the shit hasn't hit the fan sooner is because, like their desert co-religionists, they have petroleum propping them up.

That will go soon……….not totally, but it won't be at the present rate it props the country up. And it is closer than you think.

Those who can should emigrate and get the hell out - and that includes our malay brothers and sisters who have the means to. When the dust settles, no amount of cyber cities, longest bridges and tallest buildings, are going to save you from the disaster of a fourth world country that is being developed.

I am one of the cows applying for migration. How do I feel? I feel that the world is my home. If I am not treated well here, I will go to another country.

It is not about fighting for the country or fighting for the world. I am fighting for a better life and that is what everyone craves for.

Anyway why limit ourselves to one country when we can explore to other places. We only leave once, make the best out of it.

Well, the most popular countries to emigrate are Australia, New Zealand and USA. For those who wanted to emigrate to any of these countries and not prepare to pay the extra migration agent fees should consider apply themselves, it is not difficult as long as you meet the respective country criteria.

I know because I am a migrant myself and I helped my friends to emigrate to all those countries in the past three years.

Singapore is a Singaporean Singapore. Read Lee Kuan Yew's book, from the third world to first world, then one can realise that so many issues considered taboo in this Malaysia country are the creation of the politicians, Umno politicians to be exact.

Obviously Singapore is unlucky to have a small land area which cannot even collect enough rain water for its own use. But modern technology allows Singapore to be independent of Malaysia and even in water supply.

With Singapore's success, no country should claim that multi-cultural and multi-religious citizens are a liability to the nation.

Politicians in Singapore are people who forgo larger earnings to serve the nation's public officials. Here in Malaysia, politicians fight with all dirty means including poisoning the mindset of the peoples to get into positions to make national wealth serve their individual desires.

If Malaysia can be like Singapore, there would not be so many snatch thieves living on crimes. Malaysia cannot be like Singapore; but of course we can always say the grapes are sour.

In the awesome pattern of things you'll get a B- for effort. Where exactly you actually lost me personally was first in all the particulars. As it is said, details make or break the argument.. And that couldn't be more correct right here.
Having said that, let me inform you what did work.
Your authoring is actually incredibly powerful which is probably why I am making an
effort to comment. I do not really make it a regular habit of doing that.
2nd, whilst I can certainly notice the leaps in reason you come up with, I am not confident of exactly how
you seem to unite the points which help to make your conclusion.

much better.
